PDCI Market Access Inc. (PDCI), Canada’s leading pricing, reimbursement and health economics consultancy, is pleased to announce its strategic partnership with Mark Fleming. Mark is joining PDCI as Strategic Advisor supporting PDCI’s pricing, market access and policy research activities.
A pharmacist by training, Mark has had over 30 years of experience; initially as the Pharmacy Director at a northern Manitoba health centre then followed by more than two decades in the pharmaceutical industry. In industry, Mark’s leadership experience spans government affairs, health policy, strategic pricing, marketing and sales, first with Eli Lilly Canada, and more recently at Janssen Inc. Mark has also served on several industry association committees with IMC and BIOTECanada.
Mark will add his innovative and strategic perspectives to PDCI’s pricing and market access engagements and policy research initiatives. Mark can be reached at Mark.Fleming@pdci.ca.

About Mark Fleming, B.Sc. Pharm.
Mark was previously the Director of Federal Affairs & Health Policy at Janssen Inc. (Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson). In this role he was responsible for representing Janssen and Johnson & Johnson federally and internationally with elected officials, bureaucrats and other key decision makers.
Mark’s leadership in the biopharmaceutical industry spanned over 30 years including roles in government affairs, health policy and strategic pricing, and senior sales and marketing responsibilities at both Janssen and Eli Lilly Canada. Mark trained as a pharmacist, graduating from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Manitoba in 1980. He went on to practice as the Director of Pharmacy at the Churchill Health Centre in northern Manitoba. While in Churchill, Mark researched, wrote, photographed and published a book entitled Churchill, Polar Bear Capital of the World which was in print for 22 years selling over 14,000 copies in Canada and around the world.
Mark has held a number of leadership roles within Janssen and with industry associations including Chair, National Parliamentary Affairs Team, Vice-Chair, Biologics Committee at Innovative Medicines Canada, and co-Chair, Subsequent Entry Biologics Task Force, BIOTECanada. As well, he is a volunteer leader in his community and is Chair of the Terry James Honour the Volunteer Youth Scholarship Awards.
Mark and his wife Kim live in Pickering, Ontario close by their two children, Amanda and Mark Jr. and their newest family additions, granddaughters, Blakely and Mackenna and grandson Oaklee.
