In addition to our PMPRB services offerings, PDCI also performs PMPRB Block 5 (form 2) work for more than half of the DINs reported to the PMPRB. This is leveraged extensively by PDCI’s comprehensive International Pharmaceutical Prices Database
PDCI has developed a comprehensive database of international pharmaceutical prices that is invaluable for:
- Conducting primary pricing research for drugs in development
- Global pricing & reimbursement strategies for new drugs
- Filing with regulatory authorities (PMPRB Block 5)
The price database has been assembled from the official published price lists in each country. Prices in major markets in Europe, North America, as well as Australia are tracked on a regular basis with prices in other markets sourced on an ad-hoc basis.
Wholesale and pharmacy prices are recorded for all dosage forms, strengths, and package sizes. Ex-factory prices have been calculated by adjusting the published prices to remove mark-ups, VAT, etc. The adjustments are based on the official algorithms/formulae published in each country. The data can be provided in local currencies and/or standardized to a single currency (eg, Euros, US Dollars, British Pounds, Canadian Dollars).
Data is provided to clients on a request basis, customized to reflect the specific drugs needed, and can be delivered in a variety of formats from printed reports to excel spreadsheets. The cost is dependent on number of data elements requested. We typically complete small requests within 24 hours and larger requests generally within 5 business days.
